GLENFORD ELEMENTARY is very proud to have acquired the distinction of being named an "EXCELLENT" school by the Ohio Department of Education.  We are very proud of our students' achievements and are proud to make "Excellence in Education" a reality.  With the support of an excellent, caring staff, a very active, supportive PTO and wonderful volunteers we are committed to providing every child with the best educational opportunities.   PERRY COUNTY / OSU EXTENSION OFFICE  ~  The  "The Family Tackle Box" is a newsletter provided by the Perry County/OSU Extension Office.   The purpose of this newsletter is to equip families of elementary age children with creative ideas, solutions to parenting issues, and fun activities.  We hope to have it re-posted monthly.  If there are any questions or comments concerning this website, please contact Cindy Shuster at the Perry County Extension Office at 743-1602.   LOST & FOUND  ~  We always have many, many left items in our Lost & Found box which is located in the clinic.  There are shirts, sweatshirts, pants, jackets, balls, jewelry, hats, mittens and misc. toys.  Please remind your children to stop in and check for any items that are missing.  Any and all items left after the last day of school will be donated to Thornville Closet.         VOLUNTEERS ~ There can't be enough said about our "Wonderful" Volunteers.  They help with anything and everything from one-on-one tutoring, classroom help, copying to any imaginable task, and Spring Fling to mention just a few.  All the staff, along with the students, would like to extend a big THANK YOU and our most sincere gratitude for ALL THEY DO!!! ~~If you aren't a volunteer already...and would like to help us out...we would love to have you.  Give the school office a call and we will get you in touch with our volunteer coordinator.~~                HELPING OUR SCHOOL ~ You can help our school by collecting Campbell's Soup Labels and General Mills Box Tops for Education.  Click here for more information and links to their web sites.        NORTHERN LOCAL SCHOOL CALENDAR FOR 2009-2010 ~ Trying to get ready for next year....make summer plans....make next years doctor appointments??
